VHF long yagi beams x 2 available
2 x long boom VHF 144MHz antennae are available for sale to WANSARC members.
These antennae were “discovered” suspended from a garage ceiling after the very successful online auction of equipment from the late Graeme, VK3NE, held on behalf of Pam, VK3NK.
Each Yagi consists of 12 elements on a 326cm square channel aluminium boom with an end fed matching network.
Reflector 1 and 2 (longest elements) are folded dipoles matched with a 300 ohm ribbon feed to transform impedance to 50 ohms. Each antenna has a standard SO239 female connector.
Element measurements range from 98cm and 94cm respectively for the reflector elements, progressively shortening to 82cm for the last director.
Also available are 2 x 4 element reflector units on a small boom that can be attached to the rear of the 12 element yagi. This would provide additional reflection to drive maximum signal forward of the feed point.
The four elements from top to bottom are 107cm, 103cm, 103cm and 107cm. The total spacing of the 4 elements gives a total span of 31cm.
